Right Ideas Left Sdn Bhd has partnered with Zoo Negara to organise advanced training sessions for Veterinary Surgeons from May 15 -19th 2010. The training is in surgical skills and decision-making for Neurological and Orthopedic Disease in Small Animals. Increasing numbers of Veterinary Surgeons seeking advanced professional training to improve their practices and deliver better services for discerning owners has created a need for readily available and affordable Continuing Education. Zoo Negara’s commitment to education and training as its contribution to nation building has been the basis of this effort with Right Ideas Left Sdn Bhd to hold the “Malaysian Veterinary Neurosurgical and Orthopedic Workshop 2010″.
The trainer for this workshop is Dr Wong Wing Tip, an Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (ACVS) Certified Orthopedic Specialist. He has conducted many Veterinary Surgical Workshops in Australia, Hong Kong and Thailand, often with the Sydney Post-Graduate Foundation and also with various Small Animal Veterinary Associations. This will be Dr Wong’s first workshop to be conducted in Malaysia. The workshop will have three modules. The first module consists of hands on Neurosurgery on 15th May, Orthopedic Surgery on 16th May and a full day of lectures and discussions on 17th May. The second module is only the lecture day of 17th May. A third module is for Veterinary Surgeons not intending to pursue Neurosurgery at this time – it consists of the lecture day on May 17th, and an Orthopedic Surgery hands on session on 19th May.
Zoo Negara has provided the venue facilities of the Tunku Abdul Rahman theater for the Lectures, as well as the surgical labs. Right Ideas Left Sdn Bhd has sourced specialized equipment with the aid of sponsors from the relevant surgical fields.
